Meeker CO is located at the west end of the Flat Tops Trail
Scenic Byway. It's just a few short, beautiful miles from many access points to
the 235,000 acre Flat Tops Wilderness, the 2nd largest in Colorado, and some say
the most beautiful and accessible! The Meeker, Craig and Rio Blanco County community offers opportunities for
horseback riding, backpacking, hiking, fishing, rafting,
snowmobiling, and cross country skiing, as well as what we're most famous
for - Deer and Elk BIG GAME HUNTING! You'll also meet
some of nicest residents Colorado has to offer right here in the White
River Valley.
Meeker, CO with a population of approximately 2200 people (except during
hunting
season when it doubles!), is located in the heart of the White River Valley
in Northwestern Colorado. It is the western gateway, as Yampa, Colorado
is the eastern gateway, to the Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway. Great fishing
spots are everywhere in the White River National Forest, Flat Tops Wilderness and the White River Valley.
